AK St. Georg is of national significance as a special supplier for highperformance medicine with the Cardiac, Vascular & Diabetes Centre, the Surgical Trauma Centre, the Haematology-Oncology Centre, the Interdisciplinary Spinal Centre Hamburg and their specialist departments. 1,550 staff treat more approx. 75,000 patients (25,000 in-patients, 50,000 out-patients) each year.

The Bundeswehrkrankenhaus (BWK) Hamburg is the largest military hospital in Northern Germany. BWK significantly contributes to the emergency care in Hamburg. As the only hospital in Hamburg; BWK has their own helicopter. Furthermore, BWK holds three ermergency ambulances available. Yearly, more than 10,000 rescue operations are carried out by civilian and military staff.

The department of psychiatry and psychotherapy with the main focus on the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder has an excellent reputation.

The Guided Tour will be led by Dr. A. Kroeger and will focus on topics related to operations.

The Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf is the largest among Hamburg's hospitals with approximately 1,400 hospital beds. Each year the medical center treats around 50,000 in-patients. Additionally, approximately 250,000 out-patients as well as 50,000 emergency patients are treated.
